Sports, Opinion: Impact of International Coaches in Increasing of Rwandan Ballers Skills.
Foreigner coaches are they truly helping Rwandan ballers to unlock from local skills to international skills?
Different clubs and National team in Rwanda trusts international coaches and prove it by hiring them for job to manager the teams.
This is not for today in Rwandan football, because it has started longtime ago, where different coaches passed in Rwanda for managing jobs.
Today’s opinion is asking: “International coaches are they truly shaping and increasing skills of Rwandan ballers?”
Fans has different looks on this, some they agree that foreigner coaches are doing well others they disagree.
Dylan Mugenga, a sports journalist at THE NEWTIMES shared his opinion, “Coaches has come for many times in Rwanda for coaching but the problem is that after they leave, the skills shared also left.” After the matches and trainings players don’t concentrate themselves, they fall in things which destroys their skills easily, He added.
This is different from UWAHOZEHO Jesus’s look, “Those coaches nothing new they make , only exploiting our money.” He said.
BYIRINGIRO Serge well known as “Papa utamu” on social media, He also shared idea of how things are going on with these coaches, “They can help us, but we are lazy, Rwandan ballers sometimes face the problem of balanced diet, due to financial problems which took big chair in this football. Football equipment are not on the level that can push them to rise up skills for high level.” And there is sometimes disrespect in this football, He added.
Ratomir Dujković, Serbian manager and Robertihno from Brazil are taken as the most successful coaches in Rwandan football, Ratomir took Rwanda first in AFCON 2004, and Robertihno took Rayon sports in CAF Confederations cup knock outs.
In 2024, Tunisian coach, who is currently managing Police FC in Rwanda, helped two Rwandan ballers to sign for international clubs, Ishimwe Annicet and MUGISHA Bonheur well know as “Casemiro.”
