Off the Pitch: Daily Life for Rwanda's Footballers

Rayon sports scored four goals on one against vipers fc from Uganda in friendly game at Kigali Pele stadium. Game of APR Fc Vs Bumamuru Fc from Burundi in CECAFA CUP competition was postponed due to the changes of playground.



After the game and when there is holidays for players, what are other tasks they perform?


Generally many players use to get to the beach, visiting families and friends, stay with families…, Mostly in Europe players went off to the beach and islands to enjoy the life.


Different here for Rwandan baller’s, some of them continue doing physical exercises for their consistency others find different business options to earn more money.


“Nothing else I do, except physical exercises and trainings,” said by Yves Habimana who is currently playing for Rayon sports.


Jean Claude Kuradusenge, player of Espoir Fc in second division shared his routine off the field, “I facilitate my Mom in our business of Bar, and I sometimes went for trainings after all if there is no option of a short game where I can generate some income, I sleep because I like bed (He laughs).


“I go to search for money in different businesses, so as my life continues until the time games comes back”  Jean Luck Kwizera, former Gasogi united player.


Different footballers have their hobbies in the time of their holidays, some they profit income from it while others enjoy the holidays.
